ABOUT
I am passionate about my work as a trauma therapist and I continue to be in awe of the relentless resilience of the many trauma survivors I am honored to treat in my practice. As the wife of a combat veteran, I have endured the endless gaps in a broken system that our soldiers and first responders with PTSD face. Our family’s fight to overcome PTSD and our fight to compensate for the gaps in a flawed system now serves to light the path I follow in treating other veterans, first responders and trauma survivors in my practice.
As a therapist, I am transparent and fully engaged in my work. My therapeutic style has frequently been described as direct, but gentle in approach. I tend to sprinkle humor into my work and when appropriate, I reference my own personal history in service of the healing of others. My personal history and subsequent healing journey has paved my path as a healer.
Over time, I have learned to trust the therapeutic process which continues to prove that healing and personal growth are always possible- despite the curve balls life throws your way.
